Dr Alex Condoleon is an accomplished physician executive who is passionate about the intersection of digital healthcare and the life science industry in pursuit of transforming the healthcare experience.
Alex’s experience across pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, and digital healthcare businesses gives him a unique perspective on the future of healthcare – a perspective that drives his determination to achieve better health for our communities. Currently, Alex is serving as the Chief Medical Affairs Officer of Global Medical Engagement & Impact for Pfizer (NYSE: PFE). Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles with Sanofi (NYSE: SNY) overseeing Medical Affairs and Innovation efforts in Australia, China, France, and the US. At a Global level, he was part of Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare Global Leadership Team (GLT), Chief Medical Officer GLT, and Digital GLT.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Science (Medicine), Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (equivalent to a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in US) from the University of New South Wales. At the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia, he earned his MBA. His continuing education has included Certificates in Machine Learning–Implications for Business, and in Artificial Intelligence–Implications for Business Strategy at MIT Sloan Executive Education.
He serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale Ventures and is a regular presenter and judge at Columbia University’s Healthcare Innovation & Technology (HIT) Lab. He also sits on the Board of Directors for Deirdre's House, a child advocacy center for Morris County, New Jersey.
Alex has launched the "Dose of Innovation" series with an aim of provoking thought, sparking discussion, and helping healthcare executives & healthcare innovators keep pace with how technology can advance healthcare. The "Dose of Innovation" series is focused on leadership insights – the courage, successes, and failures of executives & innovators that are driving healthcare forward.
